Satao Camp- Tsavo East, Kenya

Each of our visitors at Satao Camp with Luxe Africa Safaris has a great vantage point from the semi-circular camp arrangement, which is tucked away amid woods and centered around a watering well. Twenty tents at Satao Camp are all e-suite and have been deliberately placed to provide a full view of the camp’s “own” watering hole.

Each of the 20 tents, which are divided into 16 family tents and 4 suites, is built of sisal and boroti poles and has a makuti roof on top at Satao Camp. Only the front of each tent is visible since each one has a patio with a table and chairs.

When you tour Tsavo East National Park with Luxe Africa Safaris, Sato Camp is definitely the best luxurious accommodation you can hope for.

The tents are beautiful; each is tastefully decorated with locally produced mattresses and distinctive African patterns. There is a separate bathroom with running water in each roomy tent. However, the shower is done in true African fashion, with hot water brought in the evening by the camp workers. The bathrooms are incredibly roomy, with slate flooring and gorgeous oak frames, sinks that are built into the construction, and flushing toilets in each.

The rooms have gorgeous African bed and couch covers as well as real antique writing desks. We make sure your time with us is one you won’t soon forget by offering comfort and the personal touch in the bush.

Each tent has its own veranda.

Satao Camp provides visitors with the standard “Out of Africa” experience. Huge tent accommodations are matched by top-notch food and kind service. You may do as much or as little as you choose during your stay at Satao, and our caring staff will make sure you are always taken care of. Every visitor is made to feel like a member of the Satao family.

Twenty real safari-style tents with individual verandas are available at the camp. They are tucked away amid the tamarind trees that line the property’s own drinking hole. The tents are thoughtfully positioned to guarantee complete solitude while providing unobstructed views of the migratory animals. 16 tents and 4 suites are available. The inside of the tents are really stunning. Each is tastefully decorated with an original African pattern.

Of fact, Satao’s drinking hole may draw up to 1,000 elephants every day. Tsavo is known for its enormous herds of elephants, which can glow red after a dust bath. Also frequently seen are large lion prides. Satao Camp works to keep our waterhole from drying up in order to support animal habitat. Our safaris at Luxe Africa Safaris must include suitable accommodation and as such we must consider the best such as Satao Camp.
