Borana Lodge

Perfect for families, honeymoons and special occasions, Borana Lodge offers some of the most authentic and exciting ways to encounter Kenya’s wildlife and immersive wilderness.

Borana Lodge

Borana Lodge has four stand-alone cottages each with exceptional views and private verandas for lazy afternoons or starlit dinners. These cottages are unique, and designed organically, not forgetting the finer details which make for complete comfort.

Cottage One is located farthest to the north of the main lodge with a large double bed and sweeping sunrise views, making it ideal for honeymooners and special occasions. A private veranda allows for romantic outdoor meals, wildlife viewing and beautiful views into the valley below.

Cottage Two is located between Cottage One and the main lodge, and can be either a twin or a double room, adaptable to guests needs. This cottage offers enchanting views from the bedroom and bathroom. There is a private verandah for reading in the heat of the day and private starlit meals.

Cottage Three is a twin room located very close to the main mess and is wheelchair accessible. It is found close to Cottage Four and together they make a good combination for a family with older children. There is a secluded veranda in the shade of a fig tree for private meals and relaxing in the heat of the day.

Cottage Four is a double room located below the main lodge, Cottage Three and the pool house. This room is designed around a large rock, with a bathroom down a set of stairs and private veranda under canvas.

Each cottage at Borana Lodge is built out of rock and cedar with a thatched roof.  They all have open fireplaces, lit each evening with a basket of sustainably sourced firewood nearby along with verandas with breathtaking views.  The bathrooms are spacious and have both baths and showers which look out over the wilds of Africa.

Borana Lodge has an in-house masseuse and beauty therapist who will work to help you relax and unwind after the day’s adventure.

Other than the traditional game drives, Borana Lodge offers some of the most thrilling, authentic and unique ways to encounter Kenya’s wildlife and wilderness thanks to our conservation efforts. The Borana Conservancy strives to retain this land as a pristine wilderness that guests are able to enjoy first-hand.
