Rakero Camp
Rekero Camp is one of the lovely Maasai Mara Lodges, a genuine seasonal safari camp located on the Talek River in the Masa Mara Game Reserve. The location is excellent for seeing the abundant animals, including wildebeest and zebra, as they migrate over crocodile-infested waterways on their yearly voyage. There are three frequent river crossing spots nearby, and wildebeest have been known to circle the camp.

Take advantage of the wonderful year-round wildlife and the magnificent yearly Migration by going on game drives and walking safaris during your stay at Rakero Camp. You may expect to witness the following animals: lion, cheetah, leopard, elephant, rare black rhinos on occasion, and hippo. Watch for the amazing birds or go to the neighboring communities.
Discover the customs and cultures of the area by visiting the Maasai settlements. Rekero Camp features gorgeous common areas, a safari store filled with stylish goods made by regional artists, and a Wi-Fi tent. Go on game drives in specialized 4×4 cars with knowledgeable Maasai drivers to look for some of Africa’s fabled wild species. In the evenings, head back to the camp for a great sundowner beverage while seeing the Talek River.
Rekero Camp features a separate tent with WiFi and a store stocked with elegant presents that honor the local culture and fund various conservation initiatives. On request, visits to the nearby Maasai livestock market can be organized.
The food served at Rekero Camp is of the highest caliber, skillfully prepared with ingredients found in the area. Although meals are shared, requests for private dinners for special occasions can be made. Meals are served in the dining tent and include flavors from the East and the West. Pick a memorable picnic location for breakfast or lunch.
