Positioned in the south of Kenya on the border with Tanzania, Amboseli National Park has spectacular views of the snow-capped peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s tallest mountain. Amboseli is renowned for its incredible concentrations of elephants and is home to the Amboseli Elephant Research, the longest running elephant study in the world. This park covers only 150 square miles but despite its size, it is also home to leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, lions and a wide range of birds. Amboseli is only a 4 hour drive from Nairobi, making the area very popular on the tourism routes.

Elewana Tortilis Camp

Tortilis Camp has a prime location for witnessing the majesty of Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro.

Tortilis Camp is named after the flat-topped, umbrella thorn tree, the Acacia Tortilis, and embraces a hill in one of Amboseli’s areas of Acacia Tortilis woodland.
